M.I.D (Mentioned In Dispatches)

The award of a Mention in Dispatches is signified by the wearing of an oak leaf emblem on the ribbon of the campaign medal for which it is awarded. For service during the First World War this was worn on the ribbon of the Victory Medal. Only one oak leaf may be worn on any one medal, irrespective of the number of mentions.

Search for M.I.D in the online database to find all Mentioned In Dispatch records.
