Image Database Information
Searching the Database
The database can be searched using partial text, so a search for TOM will return all records containing TOM. It is also possible to narrow the search down by choosing the field you wish to search (Default is all fields). This can be achieved by using the drop down box to the right of the search entry field.
You can then view the record by clicking View (Extreme right of each returned record). Once in View mode you can then use the Next Record & Previous Record links underneath the WW1 N.Z.E.F Images Database heading.
Each database entry includes a link to the image itself. Clicking the link will display the image in the same window. In order to return to the database, use the Back arrow of your browser.
Downloading Images
All images in the database can be downloaded by right clicking and choosing Save Picture As. If they are to be reproduced, the only think I would ask is that you acknowledge the source of the image.
Uploading information to the Database
If you have information you would like to contribute to the database, you can upload it by first viewing a record (It does not have to be the record you wish to contribute to) and clicking the blue link (above the displayed record). This will take you to the Upload form where you can upload images.
Information Sources
Every database entry has been compiled using the NZEF WW1 Unit Histories (Those no longer governed by Copyrite). Additional images are from my collection or have been uploaded by members of the public. Where possible, the source of the image will be recorded.
Image Classifications
Although searching the database is relatively easy, I have also used the following classifications.
Headstones = HS
Maps = MAP
Portrait = POR
