What the site
provides
This site has been put together to act as a
central repository of information relating to
those New Zealanders who were awarded with
honours or awards for service during WW1. More
information regarding New Zealand and the Great
War will also start to appear on the site.
Resources
The online Gallantry database forms the
nucleus of the online information. Over
time, it is hoped that the database will
grow as other like minded people contribute
information. If you have an image of any of
the men and women listed in the database
please share them with us.
An online image database will contain
images obtained from public domain sources
and members of the public.
We have also
started to photograph all WW1 NZEF
Headstones in Belgium. Gallipoli has been
completed with France to follow.
A number of N.Z.E.F
Unit Histories are also being converted into
searchable text. This is an on going
project.
